I'm so intrigued, I want more insanely powerful handled flashlights. Depends on what you mean by the best. HDS, Okluma, Malkoff Devices, and Overready are arguably some of the best brands in the game, and come at prices accordingly. For the more "common" brands, Zebralight and Fenix are definite standouts.
So the PD32 V2 is pretty much the perfect defensive light, because it has the most throw of any light with a 1 inch bezel, at nearly 400m. It has a super simple but really intuitive 3-mode interface, lasts super long on a battery because of the efficient electronics and LED, and it's built super sturdy.
